L'Âge d'Or — Kunst die grenzen verlegt
Al jaren is NIK VEE verbonden aan één van de meest uitdagende en surrealistische kunstevenementen van Europa: L'Âge d'Or, geïnitieerd en gecureerd door de Iraans-Nederlandse kunstenaar Baharak Dehghan.
L'Âge d'Or is vernoemd naar de iconische surrealistische film van Luis Buñuel en Salvador Dalí en brengt internationale kunstenaars samen die thema's als destructie, passie, angst en isolatie verkennen via mixed media, film, performances en een surrealistische maskerbal. Het event daagt bezoekers uit om na te denken over culturele en morele waarden in een wereld die voortdurend in beweging is.
NIK VEE was als vaste exposant en samenwerkingspartner aanwezig bij de volgende edities. Alle werken zijn mixed media collages — een techniek waarbij fotografie, schilderkunst en gevonden materialen samenkomen:
- Almere — Kunst = Leuk (2022): No Future For Love — mixed media collage (verkocht)
- Londen — Crypt Gallery (2023): True Love Doesn't End — mixed media collage
- Barcelona — Valid World Hall (2024): Lust — mixed media collage op canvas
- Londen — Hoxton Arches (2025): The Queen in Tokyo — mixed media collage (verkocht)
- Amsterdam — Gallery Losdok (9 oktober 2025): Surrealistische Cinema — mixed media collage

De meest recente achtste editie vond plaats van 1 t/m 3 mei 2026 in de Hoxton Arches in Londen.

L'Âge d'Or — Art That Pushes Boundaries
For years, NIK VEE has been connected to one of Europe's most challenging and surrealist art events: L'Âge d'Or, initiated and curated by Iranian-Dutch artist Baharak Dehghan.
Named after the iconic surrealist film by Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí, L'Âge d'Or brings together international artists exploring themes of destruction, passion, fear and isolation through mixed media, film, performances and a surrealist mask party. The event challenges visitors to reflect on cultural and moral values in a constantly shifting world.
NIK VEE participated as a recurring exhibitor and collaborative partner at the following editions. All works are mixed media collages — a technique combining photography, painting and found materials:
